Sequencer problem

Hi Guys
Just bought the triton studio used and i tried to use the sequencer but it seems that its not working .when i the press record button even with the precount at 2 bars the locate is not going to the (-) 2 bars position,the click is counting but nothing seems to be recorded.its seems like its only playing and not recording.
Seems like is waiting a signal from an external sequencer to start the recording.
When i tried to load the template pop /ballade for example and choose the copy drum patt with the start button i could not hear the loop .but in the instructional video the said that the drum loop will play .
Any help ???
