Thumps & clicks recording EXB-Radius Formant Motions

I've fussed with the settings but cannot eliminate thumps and clicks in my attempts to record a Formant motion. Are there any quick notes or gotchas that people here have discovered?

Could my cheapo crappy microphone connected to the input be DC offset? I've no ability to switch to a better mic since my proper mics are XLR. I still need to repurchase an XLR to ¼" adapter.
