USB Versus MIDI Connection to Audio Interface
Anyone have opinions about how the Kronos should be hooked up? My interface is a Steinberg UR44. Thanks!

Since Cubase and Steinberg-Interface work perfect together and there is no ASIO-Driver for Kronos, it is clear to me to use the UR44 for audio I/O and connect for this purpose Kronos to UR44s stereo analog inputs and outputs.
Regarding Midi you have two choices:
1) connect midi in/out from Kronos to midi in/out from UR44.
2) Connect Kronos via USB-Midi direct to your computer.
I guess the Kronos USB-Midi solution is smarter, in particular when you also want use the Kronos-Editor.

Thanks Stephen for making that clear once againStephenKay wrote:The USB connection is *much* faster for MIDI data transmission than standard legacy MIDI ports. There have been other discussions about this here.
I can't think of a single reason to use legacy MIDI cables when USB is an option.

Best regards, Robert
