Styles changing notes value?Help
Does anyone know how to duplicate values notation in the style,in Korg Pa3x?Example:I have some styles recorded at 4/4 tempo 200,but i want this style played the same in the tempo 100.The reason is because i want to lock the tempo with other styles at 100 tempo.I am very upset how to fix this thing.I hope that any friend from forum know this.
Thanks

This is something you will need to do in a DAW/Sequencer. I don't think this can be done in the PA3X.
If you are familiar with the process for preparing an SMF with Markers so it can be read by the PA3X as a style, here's what you do (roughly... not all sequencers do the same thing the same way!).
Export the style as an SMF with Markers (or whatever process takes the existing style and allows you to create an SMF from it).
Now 'Lock' the notes on each track, so changing the tempo doesn't move them. Change the tempo to half-time (or whatever you need) and make sure you lock the Markers as well. You'll now have a bunch of tracks with the data at the correct tempo, and re-import into the Korg.
Some sequencers have a 'half-time/double time' preset in their note editors, some don't. But this way (if the sequencer can 'lock' a track so its timing is independent of the main tempo) will get the job done.
I'd suggest simply trying the process out on a small bit of MIDI first, before you go the whole hog and do an entire style. If your sequencer doesn't allow you to lock the Markers, write down on a piece of paper what bars each Marker are on, and then put them to the half value (so if a marker is on Bar 16 at 200bpm, it needs to be at Bar 8 at 100bpm).
Best of luck!

Re: Styles changing notes value?Help
If you slow down tempo twice (from 200 to 100) in theory note stay same, but in practice duration time will twice longer, so maybe just slow down tempo.korglegend wrote:Does anyone know how to duplicate values notation in the style,in Korg Pa3x?Example:I have some styles recorded at 4/4 tempo 200,but i want this style played the same in the tempo 100.The reason is because i want to lock the tempo with other styles at 100 tempo.I am very upset how to fix this thing.I hope that any friend from forum know this.

You can change main tempo in any element and any position you want.
Just edit in Edit Event Master Track : M:001.01.001 Tempo (new tempo)
This (M:001.01.001) is setting for beginning of track element, but you can set wherever you want, many times you want.

this is going to overwrite for your new Tempo.

You'd better use DAW's utility's of "half-time" tempo as Dikikeys said , since it will be a real nightmare to do it on Pa3X !
(Note that Tempo change event in master track should be strongly avoided ! )
Briefly , the tricky way it can be done in PaSeries is :
- Delete all tracks from every Var/Fill in order to preserve only sound settings
- Then create master track measurement or create a DK track events with new measurement base as 2/4 and just
double the total measurement value.
- Then copy from original style every single track (not all) of every Var/Fill starting from "acc" tracks .
This way all midi events will be replicated in half time base and style will play in T=100 as was in T=200

sorry my bad. I must misread a problem.
The way I wrote is slowing all, which you don't want to.
AntonySharmman and Dikikeys, they right, changing in DAW is best solution.
If you like, I can try do for you, but only as Midi with markers, my korg still in service, so I will not available to save as korg style, only SMF.

I got this files already.
Is in 216 BPM.
I will convert to half speed (108 BPM).
Is only CV 1, looks like is in A minor and will leave as is it.
I will change value notes and move them in right place, so if you play in 108 they will play same as original on 216.
I hope this is what you want .
correct me if I'm wrong.
