Where to buy a KRONOS
Has anyone purchased a KRONOS from ebay?
I saw two music sellers, Armens, and Pro audio star.
These ebay seller's have new KRONOS'S for sale, with full warranty.
I am considering buying a KRONOS x 61 from one of these seller's,
They list thierself's as music instrument store's, sort of.
Would it be okay to go this route,as i would save 3 to 5 hundred buck's
buying KRONOS this way, or is it better to get a KRONOS through
a place like sweetwater or american musical supply?
Any thought's on this would be much apreciated.

I have purchased a Kurzweil PC3K8 and some other items from ProAudioStar
and have found them to be a reputable and reliable dealer with great prices.
I don't think I've bought anything from Armen's but they're an established store and have been on ebay for quite a while. I think they'd be trustworthy as well.
Another dealer with great prices sometimes seen on ebay is Unique Squared in Atlanta, I've had great experiences with them as well.

Where to buy kronos
I highly recommend Sam Ash in ATL, GA if u live in US but there many dealers that are good also. They gave me the best price of anybody when I ordered my New Kronos and best service as well. Steven Blacker is asst. manager and is very nice. I really think u would be happier by purchasing New Kronos not that much difference in money and if u decide to resell the value would be greater as well. I sold my KronosX 88 for what I bought if for but I had a large library of sounds I created as well as sounds downloaded and excellent condition also. I got real lucky I guess u could say but I am waiting on New Kronos hopefully in mid Feb. Pro Audiostar could not come close to Sam Ash for New Kronos but Pro Audiostar seems to have better prices on Nord keyboards and the old Kronos X as I have a homeboy that works there also and he gave me great prices on Nord keys. But I know Pro Audiostar does a lot of repairing a lot of Kronos and resells them as used for good prices but they are a reputable dealer in my opinion.
Some sellers are offering bundled equipment along with the keyboard, I guess to sidestep the retail selling price restriction they must be under. I guess I've got a while before USA dealers get them in stock, so in the meantime I'm looking for the best deal I can find. I do want a few accessories, so that is playing into the equation.
BTW, do any of these retailers offer upgrades on the SSD? From what I understand, RAM is going to be maxed out as it is in the new Kronos. But I'd like to have the largest SSD I can reasonably get installed in the thing.

If it were me, I would insist on the exact history and/or purchase receipt for a Kronos on eBay. There is simply to much fibbing about what is new and what is sorta new or maybe new.spaceman3 wrote:Thank's for the info guys, wasnt sure about ebay.
Think i will go that route.
Wasnt sure if i would hear alot of horror stories about dealing with ebay.
I have to say, i dont think i have ever wanted a synthesizer more than i do the KRONOS.
if its not factory boxed and factory sealed I would call it used.
These are expensive boards. Just make 100% sure you don't buy someone else's headache. Factory warranties are not transferable. A retail store ' warranty ' has to be clearly understood, too. These are always limited.

I am guessing that US retailers can or will do this if they expect a shipment within 30 days.ahutnick wrote:I went to Pro Audio Star's website to check out when they were expecting to get the new Kronos in stock and I saw that they had the new Kronos 2 73 listed as being in stock however off to the side it says pre-order.
Given these are best estimates, I would prefer working with a retailer who would accept a deposit ( 10% or less) for a preorder.
Interesting..... I've checked B&H Photo's website several times about the new Kronos, and it's always said that it was out of stock, but I could be notified when it became available. Except for today. Now they are stating that they have them in stock now, available for shipping tomorrow...

Truth? Heck, I've bought a lot of stuff from B&H and they have always been straight shooters..

Sorry, but I'm not planning on buying one from them, as I am holding out for a package deal with accessories from other sellers. I only stumbled on this checking the ETA that retailers were advertising. So someone interested in buying only the keyboard NOW will have to check this out.GregC wrote:Did they notify you directly ?
