My Original Kronos upgarding sugestions

Post by Night Spirit »

Was at the NAMM saw the new Kronos, personally I like the look of my original one. But there was some really awesome upgrades done to the new operating system I really dug. I like the optional colors for your presets. I really enjoyed the new Berlin sounds, and Australian grand. My Kronos still has the first version operating system. I have done no mods to upgrade it to the bigger memory and ram. For what I was using it for, I had no need to upgrade the sounds, or any internal parts.

But I would like to get the new color change option, as it would help me a lot. So I am assuming I can upgrade my OS on the Kronos to the current software to get those features. But I also saw people talking about a trade up for upgrade? As with all new software there are bugs, as I am reading.

But just getting ya guys feedback, if I should keep my Kronos stock. Or should I upgrade to the new OS, so I can start to get all these new lovely features, and sounds.

Just my personal experience - I've loaded 3.0.2 on my first-gen Kronos without ANY issues whatsoever. Your mileage may vary, but it's not been an issue at all for me to have the new OS.

That said, I also upgraded the RAM and SSD, so... once again it might be different for you.

If I get the new os, I can use the multicolor in the Preload set list, and If I want legendary strings or the Dream Piano by Qui Robins than I need to update the os so they can access these sounds. I got no other alternative? After hearing the Dream Piano I wanted them, that is why I was finally thinking updating.

Yup. I have the colored setlist, and Dreaming Piano is a combi, I-B 056: Dreaming Piano. (I'm assuming this is the one you're talking about?)

I got no clue, found it on youtube when was searching Kornos vids. He is selling his Dream Piano libary and listened to it and it sounded good. I really don't know crap about the Kronos. I got it for the best sounding Electric Piano for play and feel. I really mainly only use the pianos, and occasionally some sounds for ad ins. So I been doing my youtube searching and finding out how to use this thing.

Has anyone made a more uptodate how to use video recently? I know there was one made a long time ago that went over all the basics costed like $150 Was wondering if anyone made an more in depth one.
