You just need to turn the input gain up on your mixer :-)
Korg gear past and present:- DW6000, DW8000, MicroKorg, MicroKontrol, R3, Nintendo Korg DS10, VolcaKeys.
Other gear presently being used:- Tascam US1800 audio interface, Yamaha QX5, QX21, M Audio radium 49, Fender Precision lyte bass and Boss ME50B fx pedal. Yamaha TX1P, XRI xr300, Boss BX-4 mini mixer.

I cant see any problem with that lead whatsoever, how does the volume act when listening through headphones from the phones socket of the Volca?

try a mini stereo to mono jack cable. Most inputs on mixers and audio interfaces are mono. Stereo can cause issues sometimes.

This. Or a mini-stereo to 2x mono jack, which may be easier/cheaper to find.

It is a cable issue. With the proper cables you will have full volume on the Beats, and a much beefier sound. You will not have to crank the mixer, your Beats will have similar output levels to the Keys and Bass. I promise, this works. Been there, done that. Watch this short video.

hi,

i am having a volume issue as well

i wanna connect the volca beats to my NI Kontrol S4 for djing. i use a tsr 3.5 mm jack to 2xcinch(RCA) to connect the volca to the line in of the s4. the volca is really quite and even when i turn the gain of the channel to the max it's still not loud enough. any idea how to fix this? i thought a tsr to cinch/rca would work like the tsr to 2xts as mentioned in the vid
