Hello, I have got a Kaossilator 2; its notice says " partially erase a recorded phrase tip : when you hold down the loop button and press the del button during playback, the previously recorder phrase will be erased during the time you hold down the del button, allouwing you to replace it with a newly recorded phrase" .I don't manage to use it and make it work, can you please help me? thx

you would need to have perfect timing to get good results. it is really just deleting parts of a phrase while both buttons are held down, which you can overwrite with a new phrase later on.

i very seldom use that feature, except when i want to create a stutter sound. but you need to have a perfect and even timing to make it sound nice.

^ You can replace a note too ,by playing pad at the same time as the delete.
I find this delete (&replace) technique good if I've already fixed a rhythm /phrase down (so it won't delete this way) then replacing melodies and such over the top,free-styling on the fly.
(-This technique is on my KO1,but it should work same on 2).

So what Spheric El says, is that when you press delete button and loop button and the pad at the same time when a note is playing, only this last note will be remplaced by a new one? without deleting all the prodution during you press the button ? this would be grat!


I have another question, i don't manage to understant how to use the "artp swing" wich go from 50% to 75%, i sometime ear a diffetrence when i use it but i dont' understant how it really works can someone please help me?


Then, when i use the audio player, i don't manage to go into another menu without the music is stopped, so i cannot loop the music from the audio player, or record it when i use the pad, or even change the song of the pad, is this normal?

Just to clarify a point - with the KO2 you cannot 'fix' a phrase in the same way you can with the KO1, so you will produce silence from that looper whilst the delete button is pressed. So unfortunately, you cannot just replace the last layered phrase. Of course, with the KO2 you have the 2 loopers.

If I understand the new KO2S, you will be able to delete from only the last layered phrase.

You should still be able to replace record by deleting and playing at same time. (Just keep your rhythms on the other looper/ bank).
