And I'm keeping it civil, as always.
Kronos is great. Update 3.0.2 is great. Korg did great job till now, except regarding archaic technology editor.
Cher Francois, please let people ask for whatever they need. Editor in screen is great. Editor into sequencer you work is even better And you may use integration someday.
bobmusic wrote:What Francois is asking about is the STANDALONE-editor version 3 for working with the new OS 3.0.2.
Exactly!
And yes, I know about SQ saying that it is ready, hence my request to whoever from Korg reading this. Personally, I do use the Editor on my PC quite a bit. In fact, the combination Editor to program sounds and PCG Tools to prepare banks is perfect for me. Since updating the Kronos to 3.0.2, I've been missing the Editor. For me, working from the Kronos screen is not the same, because when I'm on the Kronos screen, I'm far from PCG Tools and vice-versa. With my PC, I can have the Editor on the left screen, PCG Tools on the right screen, and access to the Kronos SSD via Wi-Fi. Bliss!
I hope for an OS update to. Lots of korg's original combis are glitchy sounding and notes won't switch off[.
quote="ahutnick"]I am just speculating but perhaps there is another OS update coming soon (hoping!) that is why the update has been delayed.[/quote]

From a very long time I have been discussing on this forum that Kronos without editor (64-bit edition win7) is just incomplete! Please Korg its our humble request to update the editor.
Please click on this link it has my detailed post, http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... 593#636593
The biggest issue for me isn't so much that a 64-bit editor isn't available, it's that Korg's USB MIDI driver doesn't support simultaneous 32/64-bit clients on Windows.
I would be quite happy running the standalone editor alongside my DAW, but because the DAW is 64-bit and the editor is 32-bit, only one can communicate with the Kronos at a time.
There is a workaround, and that's to use both USB MIDI and DIN MIDI simultaneously, one for the editor and one for the DAW, but what a kludge.

And why isn't Dan from Korg or someone else from Korg responding to this important post? At least give us some kind of update or ETA.
Maybe... there are some agreement issues between Korg and SoundQuest that they can't come to terms??? If that's the case, I can understand why the silence from Korg.

i don't believe in speculating like that.
and if its not ready, it can't be ' pre announced', AFAIUI
manufacturers only pre-announce ( like with the Kronos 2) when they are 100% certain.
If my guess that NDA is the reason Dan that did not respond to this I totally understand and respect that! That being said I do find it kind of strange that Soundquest says the update is ready quite a while back but being that Korg is calling the shots on this one nothing has been released yet.

I too respected that 3 months ago, but not now. I don't see any reason why Dan or someone from Korg can not reply with an status update.

Much of what is posted here is pure speculation. What is not speculation, is SoundQuest has the software ready to release. My speculation is probably correct.
