UK Kronos delivery date - Update

Post by scottgblood »

Morning All,

So as some of you know out of sheer frustration (throwing toys out of pram) I cancelled my Kronos 2 order, however that is now back on.

Anyway an update from Korg UK...
We are expecting delivery of the Kronos 2 mid next week with a view to send them out to distributors by the end of the month.
Hope this helps anyone who has been eagerly awaiting delivery of there new Kronos 2 in the UK.

One side note of caution however, my Local Keyboard shop in Preston UK has managed to get hold of one of these imported from god knows where and the wooden side panels are actually laminate not solid wood and on measurements the screen is approximately 9 degrees more angled than the pervious incarnations of this beast, we measured it with an old school protractor.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Laminate composite is the way of the world with flooring these days, at least here in the US. Thats what is being cranked out of the factories as trees can't be yanked out of the ground quick enough to produce lumber/timber for new home construction.

The product you have ordered is not currently in stock and the (ETA) estimated time of arrival from the supplier is:-

The timeframe we have been given is estimated and your product may arrive sooner or later than this.

Looks like we have a race on, let's see which supplier can get them out first or which one Korg loves more as George Orwell once wrote; "All suppliers are equal, but some are more equal than others."

Probably dv247 could get one earlier from their German connections,if they really wanted to,but perhaps it's preferred to continue relationships with Korg UK…and wait.

However.....Good Luck to all who will soon be proud owners of a Kronos !!!

The race is on :D

I've had many items from DV247 and since they closed all but one shop in the UK most of it comes from an enormous warehouse in Germany...hope they send a UK lead with it...last time it had a europlug.

I've chosen DV247 for this purchase because they give me 2 years 0% credit and 3 years warranty.

I've just ordered a spare IEC lead just in case

In the past when I got a europlug I just rang them and they sent a replacement iec lead.

Oh and I should add their service has always been impeccable and they repaired my KurzPC361 at 2 years old and no cost to me.

That's a great deal you got I only got a 2 year warranty but didn't take finance as I knew the delivery would be over 90 days and under the UK consumer credit act the finance company are legally obliged to do another credit check if the finance agreement has not yet been acted on, this has burnt me in the past when I ordered something on finance, got ill and forgot to make a £3 payment to my credit card oooops

The 3 year warranty is probably the Korg one anyway, for reigistered units, as dv247 usually just send them to Korg UK for repair work.
From then on, the customer can be in direct contact with Korg UK who can freely discuss their concerns and have regular updates regarding service etc.

The only snag with this arrangement is that the shipping needs to be via dv247 and my experiences have been a little disappointing in the lack of care taken during transit, resulting in the carton being damaged on several occasions.
Also, it inevitably prolongs the overall time involved.

My Kronos has had 4 repair attempts….unfortunately did not cure my initial problem, but that's another matter.
One journey did have faultless direct route to Korg UK,with a turnaround of less then a week and without further handling damage etc.

I'm not complaining about this really,it was the way of things at that time and as the Kronos itself was not damaged(being well inside the carton, away from edges etc) I'm just sharing my story.

Both dv247 and Korg UK do provide a good service regarding returns,so there's no cause for concern regarding warranty.

I don't know about you Scott but I am using the time to read through the manuals online.

Can't wait...must wait
