Tempo LED sync

Tempo LED sync
I noticed that tempo led does not really blink in sync with the beat. I mean the tempo is correct but the phase of blinking is off, depending when you trigger eg. drums.
I guess it does not bother anyone.. You can hear the beat anyway, which should be enough, but it's distracting sometimes, and I think it's an OS miss that it's not synced when drums are triggered.

I agree that the tempo LED should sync when Karma/Drum Track/Sequencer is playing. It can be very distracting if you need to look at the start/stop LED for the true beat. You say that you can just listen for the beat, but I have a moment in a sequence where I'm playing along with silence and need to watch the beat LED to ensure I bring the rest of the band back in on time with the sequence. Having the two LEDs flashing out of sync with each other makes it much harder to focus.
Yes, just copy the code from Korg Karma OS
. It syncs the led on karma start.
BTW, I don't use my Karma much these days anymore, but anytime I play it, I feel factory programs/combis there had really a lot of effort put into their creation and perfection. So full and detailed..
Even though Kronos is far superior keyboard, its factory progs/combis lack compared to Karma in my opinion. Or it could be just me, it is a matter of taste afterall. Anyway, sidetracking.

As far as I can see, KARMA does (and always has) reset the Tempo LED when it is triggered.
All you have to do to test this is:
- Make sure the Kronos is set to Internal MIDI Sync.
- select an Init Combi.
- Turn on KARMA and Latch. Drum Track Off.
- Set the Tempo Knob to the far left (40 BPM - really slow).
- Trigger KARMA in between the blinking LED. It will restart the blinking in time with KARMA.
Now, whether the Drum Track does this or not (since it is not part of KARMA) is a different question.

you can set the drumtrack really easy in sync with your pattern / song. You can do this by:Mighty_Ferguson wrote:I agree that the tempo LED should sync when Karma/Drum Track/Sequencer is playing. - pressing the basic/ vector tab in a program and then the drum track sub tab.
- then assign the following parameter settings to the trigger section in the middle of the screen
Mode: Wait Kbd trig
Latch: on
Sync: on
- save the program
Now whenever you need the drumtrack of that program just press the drum track button and as soon as you hit a key on you keyboard it will run in perfect sync with or without KARMA and its perfectly alligned to the tempo led.
See the drumtrack section in the parameter guide, there is a lot of info about how this works.

Are you suggesting that I use the drum track to force the LED sync while playing a song from the sequencer? That sounds like a good work around... I guess I'd just need to have the drum track synced but playing silence. Is that what you mean? Yes Stephen, thanks, tempo led reset for KARMA by itself works fine. I edited my original post.StephenKay wrote:As far as I can see, KARMA does (and always has) reset the Tempo LED when it is triggered.

Drum track does not seem to do that.
Qui, I saw your post, do you mean sequencer? In program mode, no Karma, I do not see how to sync drums with LED.
I looks like sync option refers to Karma/rppr, but I do need to reread that part of Param guide
