Volca Bass - hold note, drone techniques?

Newb question - could not locate an answer, but apologies if it has been previously discussed.

Besides physically touching the keyboard to play a note, how can one get the Volca Bass to continuously play a note? I tried the sync/gate in/out trick that works on the
Microbrute (as it also lacks a hold note function) andvthat did not work. When I try to.make a one note sequence the note is repeated and not continuous.

Place a slide on all the notes ('slide edit') - this should do the trick.
