Local Control and EMX2

Does the E2 not support local control on/off messages? Has anyone else tried and/or succeeded/failed? I've built a pretty fun 4 channel arpeggiator in Bidule, but recording feedback makes it sorta pointless. I need the recorded note data to be ignored for those 4 channels. I've tried sending cc122 0/1/127 messages on the appropriate channels, but the internal sequences don't get ignored...........

oh wait, maybe it's possible to get an internal sequence signal to turn off the bidule arp.
