sustain issues

Post by jhingsto »

I'm having sustain issues on my 88 key Kross. I'm using the M-audio SP-2 pedal, plugged into the damper jack.

While using the pedal, I get a little bit of sustain, but little enough that I can basically leave the pedal down for whole songs. I've adjusted 'sustain' in the PROG menu up to +99, which doesn't seem to do much.

I've also tried an older cheap Quiklok pedal I have, which has the same issues. I've played around in settings and searched the manuals but haven't really been able to find anything.

Any help would be awesome.

Thanks.

is it possible that those pedals are 'half damper' pedals or that the Kross is set to 'half damper' and they are not - in which case you'd get half damping? i don't know that much about it, but it might be something to look into.
