SOUND AND STYLE SAMPLE FILES AND USAGE

Post by 2015korgpa3x »

Hello All,

Could anyone please explain below file types and how to load on KORG PA3X and use them properly?

GLOBAL folder
> MXPRESET.MXP
> SETUP.GBL
> VEPRESET.VOC
MULTISMP folder
> RAM.KMP
PAD
> USER01.PAD
PCM
> RAM01.PCM to RAM99.PCM
PERFORM
> BANK01.PRF
SONGBOOK folder
> SONGDB.SBD
> LISTDB.SBL
> BANK01.SBD
SOUND folder
> USER01.PCG
> USERDK.PCG
STYLE
> FAVORITE01.STY

Should they be better saved to factory hard disk ready for use or can they be only saved to virtual memory card (128MB board), or on the internal memory on the PA3X itself?

I really appreciate all comments, guides and advice since I am completely novice about these file types and do not how to load them on the Korg PA3X and use them properly and successfully.

Regards

Quin

Addition to my previous message...

Will loading new style and sound files (such as PCM, PAD, PERFORM) effectively delete/overwrite factory sounds and styles?

Any help is really appreciated
