Taktile 49 and Ableton Live problem

I have the Taktile working within Ablton using the template on the Taktile. All works ok, in DAW mode.

However if I hit the control mode button to use the Encoders to control Aletons Device macros nothing happens, they just dont work... They work in Ableton mode controlling panning as they should.

Am I missing something here...
Within Ableton Midi prefs
Taktile is Mackie control in Control surface DAw control in and out...
Track and Remote turned on.

All thoughts help and suggestions please....
