Kronos has detected a problem....

Post by Tuckandroll »

About to open this damn Kronos up (AGAIN)! Now it keeps crashing on me. Black screen, small text: Kronos has detected a problem. Power down, wait 10 seconds and restart...

you have to fix it

the more details you provide here , the better folks can trouble shoot it for you

or you can google the forum since about once per week, someone posts similar experience and all the trouble shooting ideas re-circulate again

I think the best action here is to contact Korg Support. Best of luck!

If someone had that attitude towards me, I would not feel like to see them either ;)

Just for somebody, who experiences same symptoms...

After a gig (KronosX 61, 2,5 ys old, gets transported few times a month) it started to give me that message + short beep.
Sometimes it happened already during boot, sometimes Kronos booted up but then in few minutes it was frozen again.
Immediately after freezing I could see that disk led continued to flash for couple seconds. I tried to google for any KronosX diagnostic mode but no luck.
My external power was OK and couple times I could relate this freezing with slight vibration I gave to instrument.
So I decided to open my KronosX and took off bottom lid.
Reseated RAM and touched/tighthened some connectors inside.
Powered KronosX on upside down and waited for few hours - no freeze anymore.
Closed bottom lid again and my baby is like new :) .
