Kross 88 Vox Wah guitar
I just purchased a Kross 88 and I am happy with it so far, but I was going through the sounds and came across the Vox Wah Guitar 023 which appears to be just clicking sounds. Can someone please explain this to me. Thanks!

It is, I will grant you, somewhat atonal and is pretty much useless as a melodic instrument However, it should be more than clicks - the Vox Wah should sound like someone playing a palm muted strum on guitar while moving a wah pedal. It should open up when played at varying velocities and depending on how long you hold the note, but it is generally and intentionally short.
Where it can become truly useful is as a rhythm rather than melodic element.
I use it with drum patterns to add that kind of funky chug factor that livens up what would otherwise be a pretty dry and monotone drum pattern. (I don't use it except in combis and always tie it to a rhythm pattern rather than what I am actually playing.) It is a subtle effect, but it adds the impression that there's another player in the mix. If you do use it that way you may also want to look at limiting the range to only pick up msome of the drum hits as this will give you a secondary rhythm that complements the main drum beat.

This appears sometime with the Kross... some programs produce no sound or strange sound (click). Try to reset the Kross, then reload the factory banks (this is explained in the user manual).
It was usual with mine when loading certain user banks (even the factory bank itself). Certainly a problem of power during flashing the NOR-FlashRAM component (?).
I cannot test this sound at the moment, because I resold my Kross some weeks ago. I would buy a 88 version, but finally the keybed is so bad, I change my mind.
