MIDI (via USB) has stopped since installing a Korg driver

Post by guitarpaul »

Apologies if this topic already exists, seems to be so many issues with keyboard that I'm struggling to find the same issue.

Day 1: Plugged in my SV1 into Windows 7 and the standard Windows drivers worked well enough for me, no software needed. I used it to trigger sounds in Cubase for about a month with NO issues at all.

I don't like the SV1 original piano sound so I thought I'd give the editor a go and it wouldn't connect so I installed the latest Korg drivers and now it's all messed up. It still won't talk to the editor although the driver tells me all is good. Tried all my USB ports, reinstalling etc pulling my hair out and now I'm done!

However... since installing the Korg driver my keyboard no longer works with Cubase so I can't trigger other VST sounds, its given up transmitting midi notes?????

I took the Korg drivers off and now Windows sees it more as a problem device rather than giving it the original generic driver which was fine.

Help???

I don't care about the editor anymore I'm done with it but having a graded keyboard to use MIDI wise with Cubase (via USB) was the main points of me buying it.

Any ideas? I feel like I've tried everything to fix what was fine before Korg software entered my life / Windows 7 PC

I'm holding off doing a complete reinstall but this is bugging me sooo much
