Enigma, you're the man. These are all really awesome.

I'm interested in seeing a version of your Super Mario World Castle on the Kronos. Looks like in your video you were using a PC3(K?).

Buahahahaha

Yeah man. I think I was actually using the Kurzweil 2500XS, but the thought has actually crossed my mind about doing that for fun again. I loved playing that because it was MOSTLY easy except for the arpeggios section, though Karma could handle that if I were truly lazy which I'm not.

Either way, I'll probably end up moving basically everything I have from the Kurzweil to the Kronos at some point.

Eh, I knew it was at least a Kurzweil...

I've never actually tried playing this song, but always thought that playing the arpeggio bits would be challenging. I also think the song in general is awesome, and it was so cool to see someone try it.

Judging on your contributions here, I wouldn't even consider for a second that you'd try to handle that section with Karma! :)

You tell me man.

I was sighreading it, since I'm not really familiar with the song. (And their transcription may have been wrong) but check it out and let me know.

I think it's meant to be played twice but I only really did the second version through which had the organ AND choir but the Kronos has Switch 1 assigned to turn the choir off and on. SW2 is assigned to the portamento slide.
Thanks for posting this file! Your playing is nearly accurate to the original. Soundwise, the choir part is fairly accurate, but the synth sound behind it isn't quite like the original. Not enough "bite" to the sound if that makes any sense? I think maybe the filter should be opened up more to allow more high frequencies through? I know little about synth programming so I'm not of much help. . .

Ok, I'm waving the white flag. I have no talent for creating patches. Tried to get that synth bass patch for the song Madness from Muse. I just can't get it to work out right. If you have nothing else to do, could you give it a shot and video it. That way I can see where I went wrong. Thanks!

Absolutely... The fact that you're willing to learn is what drives me to do this kind of stuff. I'm happy to help and will see what I can come up with over the weekend.

Sorry if I am nagging but are you still having a go at the main Fanfare ELP sound please. You mentioned you would take another look at this.

I am referring to the huge gx1 synth sound emerson uses to play the main theme sections once the piece moves past the body sound you have kindly already replicated. It's a different patch to the opening brass and the body sound, at least to my ears!

I am really keen to have this sound and it would be great to know how you do it. I don't think its easy!

Thanks so much
Steve

Thanks Steve. I've been busy, I'll take a look again perhaps tonight and see if I can toss something together.

Hi David,

The work you're doing here is honorable for sure! I'm learning a ton by watching your vids.

Would you be able to add the synth sounds (Bell at beginning & bridge section synth sound) for Billy Idol's Rebel Yell to your list of requests?

Thank you for all your work!

This is amazing work!

If you can find the time, how about the bass & lead sound for Salt'n-Pepa's Push It. Bass sound is easily heard early on the song, lead + bass starts around 01:00. Around 01:30 there's a different (but imho less interesting) lead sound as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCadcBR95oU

And what would really be awesome is a video of how you go about doing the 01:00 lead sound - I've been messing with string patches to try & recreate it but no luck.

Thx!

I actually found this group after watching some of your youtube vids on sound design....followed you here.

I've been trying to emulate the metalic drone in "Waves into wings" by mortal coil vocalist Lisa Gerarrd.
Any ideas?

Hi Enigma,

Have a request for you. This lead sound is awesome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaWPDIDA-cs

The solo starts at 6.42.

It is about a sound I wanted to make, had in my mind for years, but couldn't make it. Now this guy working with Steven Wilson beat me to it. :-)

Would be great to assign the filter/wah sound to the joy stick.

Would be eternally gratefull =D> =D>
