Programming Tutorial: Love is alive (Gary Wright)
I wanted to do something a little different for this tutorial:
https://youtu.be/udo6pvayQro (Part 1)
https://youtu.be/ohtqAbQxRyQ (Part 2)
The entire premise here was that I wanted to show how you can apply the same programming techniques to multiple synths regardless of brand. In this case, I used the Kurzweil PC3K8 in the first video, and then in the second video I used the AL-1 synth and also used the MS20 synth, so 3 tutorials for the price of one!
The sounds for the Kronos can be found here:

I tried a different camera phone and am not super happy with how it came out. It will still do the trick, but I'm going back to my other camera on the next tutorial.
Enjoy!

MS20 for me too. But really appreciate the videos as it really helps me to see work being done using the interface. I learn much more quickly when shown as opposed to just reading directions or looking at diagrams. The "Frankenstein" sounds that were requested should work well for video too.sizzlemann wrote:To my ears the MS20 version is closer than the AL1 version. But both are close.
Nice job!

As far as I know, they do but I haven't used it yet. I'm big on seeing and hearing immediate results, so when I make changes and I can't hear it, I don't tend to use that product.rob_tky wrote:Thanks Enigma for the comparison.
I'd like to see what screen Kurzweil will put in their next product.. Small LCD screen is a challenge when you design sounds, I think. Or maybe they offer pc side software where you can comfortably do the sound design work?
That, and when the PC3K doesn't load my old sounds, I tend to go back to my Kronos...
