Display Backlight

Post by hacksaw15 »

I've had my Le over 10 years and the back-light is starting to get dim. Where can i get a replacement display or back-light? I'm still gigging with this board and as of now I have no plans to get another one. The main reason is I have the sample board installed and it's used a lot on gigs. Other keyboards that sample are out of my price range. I also use it as a controller a lot. Before anyone ask if I've adjusted the contrast yes I have.

Hi, one way to increase the backlight is to change the led. The display unit use a white led and a plastic light diffuser. Another way is to increase the led current reducing the series resistor on mainboard.

I strongly recommend to do the led replacement before changing the entire display unit.
