Well, I sold my original 88 sv1 last april. I went through a roland stage, jupiter 50, juno di, and now jupiter 80. I sold the stage to get the jp50, sold the jp50 to get the jp80, gave the di to my daughter. missed the stage, bought another used one, decided the jp80 was still better and gave the stage to my daughter, took her di and now have that for sale.
Bought a used original red and black sv1 73 from BC_in_CA here today and will take delivery next week, rejoining the SV1 family... happily! The JP80 is incredible but it just can't do vintage like the SV1. So that will be my perfect set up, finally.
What a journey but happy to be back!
I gave up on the SV1 last year, what a journey back!

Inspired by my Roland Jupiter 80 and SV-1 73, Fender Strats, Teles and Fender Amps, Taylor Acoustic. I am also an avid Ukulele player!

Just some followup questions; I'm not being snarky or offensive:Low Class wrote:You didn't try the Casio PX5S? I sold my SV1 and bought the Casio. After a while I thought I was missing something so bought another SV1 and tried it side by side with the Casio. It was no contest and could not wait to get the SV1 out of my house.
Are APs more important to you than EPs? To my ears, EPs are way better on the SV1.
The action is heavier on the SV1, so for me that's better than PX5S.
I'm in the process of choosing so I tried both in the store yesterday. Along with MP7, Nord, etc.
