I want to get a Nightwish Cover Pack which is a selection of patches. They only have it for the Korg x50, M50, M3, and Krome. Would any of these keyboard patches be compatible with the Korg Triton Extreme? Also is there any way to put patches in without replacing a bank? What would be the best way to add sounds without replacing the ones I have and made on the keyboard.
Thanks,
Patches

No - all are .pcg files, but those files are tailored for specific instruments and will work only in those instruments. None of the instruments listed are compatible with Triton family synths.
If a bank (.pcg) is auto-loaded it will overwrite a bank (duh) and you won't be in control of where.
But you can select the bank to be overwritten by working down into the menu a bit: open files and folders and select the bank of programs or combis; you will control the load and select a destination bank rather than autoloading at the .pcg level. Of you autoload the bank of new sounds will go to whichever bank it has been designed to overwrite (usually C or D).
To get more control you can load in at the program level (just keep opening files) and select the destination for each individual program rather than loading 128 (bank) at one go.
[FYI: at the program level you can audition each sound from Media (i.e., USB) without loading or saving into memory]
At this level of detail you can drop any new sounds into empty or INIT files or, alternatively, overwrite files you just don't like, or overwrite similar sounds with your custom ones, because if you write "Nightwish String Ensemble" in place of a mediocre string ensemble sound then even if that sound is used by a combi it would be similar enough that the combi would still sound OK, or maybe even better.
If you load individual programs across several banks (depending where your empty/unwanted sounds are located) you will have to make some edits or adjustments to make combinations work depending on which source programs they use; all from "nightwish" bank or a mix of that and factory sounds.
Having a Librarian/Editor is probably preferable for doing this. There are several available to you as freeware/shareware/donation-ware though they're mostly PC (not mac) or Java based.
The factory Extreme came with, if I recall, a couple of blank USER banks though I can't remember which. At any rate, unless you've filled it to capacity (as I have mine) there should be room for new sounds.
-------------------------------
If there's NO room at all, save your current set-up then overwrite any bank for the gig and restore your original stuff after.
