Transportation bag for the Electribe 2 - Any good ideas?

Post by petal »

I'm a new owner of the Electribe 2, which I primarily bought to use outside/away from my home studio. This also means I need to put it in my bag and transport it around.

Have any of you guys found any good transportation bags/covers for the Electribe 2, which will protect it's knobs against normal transportation in a bag pack?

Cheers,
Thomas

Yeah, that was also my first and best idea so far. Maybe I should just stick with that.

Better solutions are still welcome though :)

Laptop bag works fine for me too.
If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

Volca Sample, FM, Beats, Kick. OP-1, Monologue, Pocket Operators. And an ipad.

hi all! new to the forum and will share some new electribe vids soon.

i picked this up for my new electribe and it is a good fit so far. velcro straps inside to lock down the unit, room for a macbook and cords, headphones and a camera too. also, space for plenty of extra rechargeable batteries!

I use bubble wrap and put it inside a macbook pro padded sleeve with pocket for: charger, batteries, breakout midi cables, mini usb cable and 3.5mm jack wire for audio in.

I have a small canvas backpack with a padded laptop pocket. it's a perfect fit, and i can put in headphones an a small mixer as well as a couple of volcas. Works great.

decksaver is about to release a cover for the new electribes:

You can see one in the upper right side.

I want one so I can put in it in any bag without fear of wrecking the knobs.

I use cheap, hardshell style gun cases thrown into my backpack for traveling.. i have carried both my monotribe and volcas in them.. walmart has some pencil boxes that are sturdy with metal latches that you can put foam from a craft store and have a really nice box for your volcas.. my buddy uses those for his and kinda sets them up stacked for gigging/jamming.. i can post pictures later if anyone wants to see.

these are my friends volcas set up in the wallmart pencil boxes

similar to these... http://www.walmart.com/ip/Vaultz-Lockin ... s/36124229

They are fuzzy felt lined.. kinda like felt anyway.. not super padded but you get the idea.. you obviously cant carry two in one box but it sets them up sorta nice to mess with having one in the lid..
