Saving songs just annoyingly!

Post by Muzztone »

Is the workflow re saving and loading songs into the sequencer a bit weird or am I missing something.
You can't just save a song into memory like a program or combi they have to go onto the disc.
To do this you're advised to use Save all - which in effect is a backup function because PCG data stays in memory anyway so you don't really need to save it
When you boot up there is no way to automatically load your songs as there is with sample data.

So songs appear to be the only class of data you have to specifically save but can't auto load. Presumably this is due to the design of the Kronos memory but it's annoying.

I'm trying to set up a keyboard part for playback in sound check so the band can play along while I go out front and set up a mix but having to remember to load it every time it's needed is a burden I don't need in a noisy venue under pressure to set up.
Any thoughts?

there is no other way. Indeed you need to load the .SNG file manually after booting. Not ideal, but there are worse things in life...
I do it all the time for band rehearsal as you describe it....

You could convert the SEQ to audio and have that auto load with a program/combi. I auto load audio backing tracks all the time. I do use SEQ's some and have no problem manually loading them as well.

Still, making it audio might solve your problem.
