MIDI to WAV. without computer

Post by dmfr56 »

I bought a korg pa50sd and I want to post some songs I put together on youtube. However, it saves as a MIDI file and I cannot buy a cord to connect the keyboard to the computer at this time. is there any other to save a song as a WAV or MP3?

I think you will find you can save the midi file onto the SD card,, you can then load that file onto the computer. From there with software you can convert it to MP3 if you wish.
Hope it helps,, Phil

No, in your Korg is no option to convert midi to mp3, but
you can use audio cable between headphone korg and input (mic) PC, then record as audio (mp3 on computer)
Try free software: audacity
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
or maybe you have something already in your computer to record.
If you somehow transfer just midi to your computer is not going to sound same, midi doesn't have sounds, on computer midi getting sounds from GS Wavetable Synth (at least by default).
Good Luck
