Can't Autoload Samples
I have a set of multisamples I have converted into a program.
I have the KSC file I have the samples saved in loaded and checkmarked to autoload in the global settings.
But the samples never autoload. I always have to go to the disc and load the KSC file separately.
How do I set the autoload to load the samples as well?

Are you autoloading the .KSC file or the ._UserBankKSC? Since the Version 2 update, when you save your Sampling data, you get a .KSC file and ._UserBankKSC file. The ._UserBankKSC file allows your samples/mulitisamples to be streamed direct from the SSD without having to be loaded in Sampling Mode. The auto load applies to the ._UserBankKSC file that gets created when you create your KSC. If you want to edit your samples/multisamples, you load the .KSC file in Sampling Mode and do your modifications. When you go to DISK mode, save sampling data and you get the 2 files.

Check sampling mode after you autoload and see if your multisamples are loaded. It's possible that your multisamples are not being referenced correctly in the program as they may have been loaded in different multisample locations. Things have been made simpler since the release of V2, best to update your OS to the current version.

Didn't have a need for it until now. I'm kind of a "it if ain't broke, don't fixt it" type. Looking at the updates, I'm excited to update to V.3 however.Dniss wrote:I fail to see why anyone wouldn"t do the updates on their Kkeywhiz61 wrote:I don't have the version 2 update. I see, I usually wait a month or so before doing so myself, but it does fix a lot of different issues, and they include some great upgrades.keywhiz61 wrote:Didn't have a need for it until now. ok....So I've got 3.0.2 in the board. Samples still are not autoloading.
Is this because I sampled them with Version 1 and now they are in the wrong place or something? How do I get them to autoload? Do I have to re-sample them?

Yeah....obviously I'm doing something wrong here.
In Sample Mode: I've got a multisample that is calling itself NewMS_____________000 and it lives in the slot for 00002.
It also shows two other multisamples with the same name (but no sounds there) in the 00000 and 00001 slots.
So I delete those other two. Move the MS to 00000 slot. Rename it what I wish to rename it. And convert the MS to a program that lives in U-G125.
I go to Disc Mode and Save Sampling Data. It saves the data to my disc in the form of a .KMP file.
I also save the program file in Program Mode
Everything seems to be working just as I wish.
In Global Mode: I have the autoload set to load the sample.KSC files. Load method: KSC settings. There doesn't seem to be any way to autoload the .KMP files.
Back in Disc Mode: Inside the sample.KSC file is a folder with the multisample with the old name and that folder has the 4 samples for the mulitsample inside.
When I turn off the board and turn it back on, nothing seems to be saved. Everything goes back to the original configuration before I made any of the changes and my samples are not loaded into the program.
What am I missing here???

It is best not to move your Multisamples around, since the program points to the number slot that the multisample is in and not the multisample, itself.
Just load your working programs and samples and then SAVE ALL. This will name all files the same and create the User_KSC file. The KMP file is a subset part of the KSC file.
As previously stated, go to GLOBAL - BASIC and select the KSC AUTOLOAD page. From there, select the User_KSC (not the KSC) that has the same name as your program file.
Note: To keep things tidy in the Disk Drive, I use DISK UTILITY to create a DIRECTORY file. When you are ready to SAVE ALL, select DISK SAVE and open that directory folder. All those files will go into that folder, where you can see the whole group. This is much easier than opening Disk mode and seeing every individual file that you ever made!

Ahhh! success! Thank you so much!
One last little problem though. Now when I boot up, I'm having a screen pop up that says:
Auto Load Error.
The Following KSC files refer to unavailable sample data: sample.KSC
I clear out the screen and everything SEEMS to be pretty good, but obviously something wasn't saved/isn't loading properly?

"Auto Load Error.
The Following KSC files refer to unavailable sample data: sample.KSC"
This happens when you try to "autoload" both KSC & User KSC (checked both of them).
Check only one of them at the time (again for autoload).
Check "KSC" if you're gonna work modifying or adding samples at RAM
or
Check "User KSC" if you just will load the samples on virtual memory.
