Diy end pannel

Post by oldguy29 »

Just a joke, but it would not be that hard to make your own wood end pannels. sorry for th eAC noise on sound track. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=em3xmcRRGAE

Much, much better sound, no drum noise on some combies. Wood end compensate all this. I really like this video (life will be very boring without jokes). Thanks for this!

Got me thinking though. It would not be too hard to make wooden end panels that fit over the ends of old Kronos. Would be nice to have a router and band saw, but it could be done with hand tools. i wonder if there is a market for this?
As I said in the video if you can find a guitar maker (or other wood worker) they have lots of very nice scrap wood that just gets thrown away. Might have to glue 2 pieces together but that would add to the charm.

Also the piano sounds better with the wood panels on the end caps so you can hear the real hammer sound in the high register. Nah Just Kidding

Good video. That is the end panel to end all end panels.

of course I just grabbed 2 boards I had out in shop and taped them together. Did not make them shorter. That part sticking out the back could be made to hold something like an iPad. How is that for an idea--- wood side panel and extra function ? And I wanted to get back into making videos, I have an external mic which gives very good sound quality. (did not bother for this short video)

I thought the XL boards were a clever touch. I could attach a cat perch on both. This way my 2 cats could admire my technique ;)
