I sent my 88 back to SW a few months ago due to a squeaky key. Still haven't received my replacement. Today they just told me it will be June. No idea what the problem is but it is getting quite frustrating.

Just got an email from the Chuck man at Sweetwater. June is the Korg USA answer and probably mid to late. I have decided to get the 61 and trigger it with my TX 88. Hows that for desparation?

Personal preference,my friend. A month to wait for exactly the right board would not deter me

Orders

Post by Ottawa58 »

I'd love to know worldwide how many orders Korg forcasted in the first quarter of 2015, and how many they actually got. It sounds like they got a surprise. I think they had some pretty good marketing. It sold me. Good problem to have vs the alternative.

nice to have you as a new owner plus everyone else that is here with the Kronos 2 plus many that are waiting.

3.0.2 and the popular keyboard sounds plus the Berlin were all home runs, IMO.
Include the vast selection of EXs.

Then dress it up with a new looking board, you have a keyboard that many desire.

Sweetwater was estimating early May, now they're saying mid June.

"It's due in on the first of June..."
So they told me. That would be Monday.
I'm holding my breath...

Sad to hear about these delays mates. Must just be the 73's and the 88's though. I had no idea that there were any delays in getting the K2. I went into Guitar Center in Dallas last week and strolled out with my new K2-61.

I was quite happy that it already had 3.0.2 SW installed. There were a couple of KARMA Lab combi's that I had never seen before and I found out from Stephen Kay that they just happened to be teasers from the upcoming Catalyst 2 collection.

I ordered an 88 just a few days ago from SW and was told 6/18, but that it also depends on how many Korg manages to ship to them, so I might be waiting longer than that. ugh

Same in the UK. They told me 1st June, then it was the 15th. Now it's been "put back again". I guess they've given up telling me a date.
I ordered (and paid for) it on 27th April.
Who thinks it will be here before July?

Still waiting since April 17th from Sweetwater. No news. My sales rep (who is awesome and has nothing to do with the delay) said it was supposed to arrive last week, but I haven't been contacted yet.
