Can i use a USB hub to power mutiple usb powered gear?

Can i use a USB hub to power mutiple usb powered gear?

I just bought a 2nd Korg SQ-1 and i'm wondering if i can use a usb hub plugged into my usb power thingie to power both of them.

No idea how this stuff works.

Check the amp ratings of your SQs (added together) and the Amp rating of your power supply.You can buy powered USB hubs.

Or borrow an unpowered hub and see if it works.

also bear in mind that there are current limits on the USB system as a whole and per USB port. USB 3.0 ports come in low-power and high-power variants, providing 150 mA and 900 mA respectively.

hmm so maybe i'm better just to use to adapters. buy a pair of right angle usb cables and i'll be set
