Downgrading OS from 3.1.2 to 2.4.1?
I have bought a secondhand Korg Trinity. It is the version without any expansions, the basic Trinity. However, i have OS version 3.1.2 installed on it. Is this a problem? It looks likes the synth tries to find the S-bank which it doesn't have of course. Sometimes it pauses for a while when i press an option on the screen and then it goes ahead. The screen reacts like it should and i also hear the beep when pressing it, but the Trinity doesn't react always or only after a few tries.
I think, the former owner has had an expansion, but removed it to sell it or something. On the Korg site it is said that the Trinity without expansion needs the OS version 2.4.1. Should and can i downgrade to this version?

v3.1.2 is for any config WITH a Moss-Tri. Moss patches are stored in the M-Bank.
v2.4.1 is for all other configs WITHOUT Moss-Tri. This is the one to use if you have Solo-Tri - Solo patches are stored in the S-Bank.
It would be strange if you had v3.1.2 installed and it showed an S-Bank, like you suggested in your first post. It should only ever display an S-bank if you have 2.4.1 installed.
If you have neither Solo nor Moss installed, v2.4.1 is still the one to use. It will disregard S and M banks.

If I have a V3 Trinity, but the MOSS board is taken out and a SOLO-TRI is put in instead, and I downgrade to the 2.4.1 software... will there be any trouble? I don't know if the V3 hardware is different from the V2 hardware at all. That's the situation I'm stuck with.
PS: did the original V2 Pro have semi-weighted keys? I know the V3 does.

Are there any differences at all in the Trinity V3 hardware compared to the older hardware? I'm worried about chip revisions and the OS software being incompatible, or something like that.
I'm also still curious about the original V2 Pro's keys, if they were semi-weighted or not. I'm reading conflicting reports that the original 76 key Pro had regular plastic keys. My V3 has semi-weighted.
