I agree this reference is probably for piano tab with grand piano icon , but all other references and demos with Grand Piano RX as I've heard
are exactly PaSeries waveforms !
Also , next guy that will test it , must have a look at rear panel of Havian 30 if a "made in Italy" label is there , this will give
some explanation of what is really going on here !

According to the Havian's 814 page manual there are only references to Korg Italy. If I get back to my retailer before it sells I'll check its label.

Here's an excerpt from it's introduction (only Italy mentioned in the manual):-
Havian 30 Manual wrote:Welcome to HAVIAN 30!
Many thanks, and congratulation on purchasing the KORG HAVIAN 30 Digital
Ensemble Piano. We’re sure it’ll give you countless hours of great piano and
band instrument tones that will feel as good as they sound!

The real piano experience
So much of the HAVIAN 30 digital ensemble piano has been designed to give
you a great piano experience. The high-quality, weighted piano-like keybed
gives you a completely authentic feel and touch. The grand piano, recorded
in multiple dynamic levels, sounds absolutely natural. You will feel you are
playing a real piano – no matter what your musical tastes are.

More than just grand piano
To broaden your choice of piano sounds beyond the meticulously crafted
grand piano, HAVIAN 30 features an intimate upright piano, an evocative
honky-tonk, and an extensive selection of electric pianos. A realistic harpsichord
is also included, and can be tuned by choosing one of the carefully
crafted period tunings. From ragtime to R’n’B, from classic rock to modern
jazz, from early keyboard music to the latest piano hits, you’ll find what is
needed to play centuries of great music.

Listen the natural way
All HAVIAN 30 sounds go through studio-quality effect processors that further
refine your sound before coming through high-quality stereo audio
outputs and integrated speakers for an amazing listening experience. The
sound is clear and detailed even at the lowest volume level, for the pleasure
of the late-night rehearsing musician

As good in tour or at home
HAVIAN 30 is a compact, lightweight digital piano that you can comfortably
take with you on stage. But add the optional modern, stylish dedicated
stand, with support for the damper pedal (included) and a pair of (optional)
headphones, and you will be able to have it anywhere in your home – a stylish
piece of furniture.
Use it for rehearsing or practicing guided by the built in programmable metronome.
Or let the included bank of dedicated Piano Styles play along with
you, to make a study session feel like an onstage experience.

Easy to use, like a real piano
Using your HAVIAN 30 is easy, thanks to the touch screen and the clean,
clearly laid-out user interface. This easy-to-use, handy technology, driving
every aspect of the instrument, will make advanced features seem as easy
as touching real objects in the real world.
If you are not comfortable with the touch display, then the innovative tactile
display navigation system will let anybody’s fingers, even if blind or visually
impaired, quickly find a reference to the display content.

A band always ready to play with you
Ultra-realistic sounds in the HAVIAN 30 are always ready to play along with
you, in the music style best fitting your music. The high number of included
Styles will satisfy any music genre, but can also be expanded by adding new
Styles. You may also create your Styles, or customize the existing ones.
There are eight Accompaniment parts which will follow your chords. You can
play in the simplest way or with the rich harmonization of a competent jazz
player. We have programmed them to sound natural, and give you the feeling
of a real band, ready to play with you at any time.

Play and write songs
Play Songs in MID and MP3 formats. With Songs, you can show lyrics for your
singer and chords for your fellow guitarist. Any MIDI Song track can be converted
into a readable score. Markers allow for jumping back to a passage
you wish to repeat, for example in a piece you are studying or rehearsing.
You can record a MIDI Song using a full-featured Sequencer, or by using the
Styles to record your live performance. Even easier, just record what you
play as an MP3 file, and listen to it anywhere you like – even while driving to
a party with friends!

Thanks Pete , red lines are enough to come to a conclusion , especially the "All rights reserved" , so Pa OS is still under KorgPa hands !

Anthony, why did you think Korg Italy had passed the torch to Korg Japan?

I don't worry about voluntarily concession of PaSeries R&D to Korg Japan !
As concerned about the signs that made me wonder , those are :
- Not independent PaSeries website
- Havian is the first PaSeries arranger product after decades without Pa label
- A few other "internal" information that I can't share !

Anyway , time will show ...

I was very much excited when the Havian 30 was first mentioned here because I was shopping for a digital piano and looking at the Casio and Yahama's and even the Korg LP-180. I got more excited as this thread went into page 4. I got even more excited whenever I remembered that the Havian is first a digital piano with icing on it (the arranger section). I lost all my enthusiasm when I discovered there was no place to see or try one.

I don't understand these marketing procedures of today. Who would buy a pair of shoes online without knowing how they're going to fit? Who would buy a mail-order wife without trying her out first? So.......then who is going to gamble $1500 ordering a Havian 30 and hoping it's Christmas come early and it fits like a hand in a glove.

Even the dumbest kid on the block has to realize not many are going to buy a high-end keyboard without giving it the go-over in a music store.

I called the whole area today, including NYC, trying to find one to look at. I even called Indian Joe's Keyboard Korner, Cheap Charlie's Piano Pavilion and I tried to reach Crazy Eddie through a seance. Not a one anywhere.

So how does Korg expect to sell enough of them to cover their manufacturing and design costs if we can't see and feel one in our hands?

I suggest they send a free one for display in every major music store. I'm guessing for every free one they put out there they'll get way more than that back in increased sales. And that goes for the other manufacturers too.

Meantime, thank goodness we have Frankie V's store in CT to buy from. He always has the TOTL's and he plays well enough himself to demo them.

I 100% agree.

For all of the Korg arrangers it's pretty much the same here in my country.
All instrument stores have a collection of Yamaha's, but you're lucky if they have 1 Korg in store.

Korg could sell a lot more if their distribution network was (a lot) better.

Welcome to my dilemma !!!!!
I couldn't believe that the Havian 30 was actually in one of our local stores.
We've only had the PA3X around here for about 12 months - oh yes - easy to order but not to touch.
No returns here unless faulty. Only 12 months warranty.

I bought my PA3X sight-unseen - fortunately I love it but I won't do that again.
So I'll probably upgrade to the so-rumoured "PA4X" just before the PA5X comes out - no more blind purchasing for me.

I'm sure I'll get excited about upgrading but I have to admit that I have NO issues with the PA3X - it's the first arranger keyboard I've owned that I can truly say that about.

I guess what I was hoping for was a NOTICEABLE improvement. If you are saying without careful side by side A/B-ing with the PA3x you couldn't tell, for me the improvement isn't enough. I would have hoped it would stick out like a sore thumb!

And there lies the issue of marrying the BOTL arranger with an 88... Pianists are picky! Without the sampler from the PA900 or PA3x, the unit lives or dies on the strength of the basic piano sound, which hasn't really been a Korg strong point on the whole (look at how many like third party piano sets on here). If, instead of saddling it with a sub-par arranger Korg went the whole hog, even if the ROM piano didn't suit the buyer, he could find others he did like. Korg could even sell alternative pianos (like the K-Sound sets, etc.) and up the profits...

But, no sampler, no dice. Shame. :(

So we get that you're not a PA3X fan and probably why you don't own one as it's "BOTL"
All I'd like is an explanation on how you manage to extrapolate that from what I wrote. And then an apology.
