Didn't it do that before? I guess I never used that feature cause I don't quite see how it would be useful to my workflow. Hmm...dutchcow wrote:I think it exports a pattern or pattern set as a single .wav file
E2 Update 1.10 out now!

There is mention of implements on the kaoss/track pad....can anyone mess with the kaoss pad to confirm what improvements were made?

Would someone check to see if the Event Recorder feature has been fixed? A few users reported early on that it would cut the playback files short if too much data was recorded. That's the one feature holding me back from buying it I need to use it for automatically chaining patterns into full length songs.

I ran into that several times too. It usually crapped out after 1-2 minutes playback. Will test it for you once I have another E2. Which could be very soon since my main issues are fixedRe-Member wrote:Would someone check to see if the Event Recorder feature has been fixed? Using the shift+pad shortcuts leaves the mutes alone, that is a big relief. And copying parts between patterns, about bloody time!! I've not tried how the IFX delays carry over on pattern change, but boy oh boy will it be good if they carry over.
Many thanks to OP for the heads-up.

If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

I just decided to buy back my Electribe 2, and the day after this drops. Can't wait to get it back from vacation to use this.
Being able to export audio wav is an important (and necessary) improvement to being able to use this instrument for production.
Copying parts between patterns, great! Thank you Korg for implementing these.
Maybe drop us a hint once and a while (even through Twitter) that you are up to something.

You get a fancy new indicator graphic when you record a motion sequence now!!
Also, when you are in sequencer mode and you shift+pad14 to clear that part's sequence, all the active step LEDs now go dark. Before the update, they remained lit.
Delay IFX carry over smoothly during pattern change!!
Yeah baby...

Great news! So, a couple of questions (that seem to be missing in the manual) for the owners:
Is there threshold recording/sampling?
The manual briefly mentions that you can reverse a sample, but it doesn't explain how to do it-- is the reverse function indeed incorporated?
I think I remember reading here that the polyphony is dependent upon what kind of osc/filter/fx are in use, but how often do you hit a limit, and about how many voices can you use before it chokes, in general? And does the type of filter really effect the voice count?? I can understand it bogging down if you're using a longer sample/osc, as well using too many insert delays, but a filter doesn't jump out to me as being overly dsp hungry, especially since they seem like just basic filter designs.
How do you find the event recorder for chaining patterns?
Say I want to loop two patterns so I can see how they sound back-to-back, can I set this up in the event recorder? Lots of menu diving to set it up?
A lot of questions, I know. Wish the manual covered them. Thanks guys!

I take it that your questions are for the sampler, right? I don't own the sampler, but I understand that if you turn the OSC EDIT knob fully clockwise, the sample plays back in reverse.
Working out when you hit the DSP limit is a black art and almost impossible to predict. From my own experiences, I used to use the MS20 filters on nearly everything and would run into voice stealing quite often. Now I only use the Electribe filters and voice stealing seems to be a thing of the past. But then again, the music i make isn't that busy in terms of number of parts playing at once (but I do use IFX on every part...). Who knows. Different models of filters are only found on the synth version though, the sampler just has the Electribe LPF/HPF/BPF.
If you want to see how two patterns sound back to back, assuming that they are numerically next to eachother, I'd say the easiest way is just to turn the value knob. Or assign them to a pad in Pattern Set mode.

Thanks for the info! Yes, I'm speaking about the sampler.apapdop wrote:I take it that your questions are for the sampler, right? I don't own the sampler, but I understand that if you turn the OSC EDIT knob fully clockwise, the sample plays back in reverse.

Regarding pattern mode, does that work like the 404sx, where a pattern plays, you hit the pad for next pattern you want to play and it starts blinking, then automatically starts after the previous pattern finishes? Or? Thanks again.
