Release time on the korg esx

Post by alex921 »

Hello, I have some single cycle wave forms for bass sounds, which I Really like, allthough, I want a tiny bit of release when I push the keyboard buttons, its quite static without imo. A bit of release would be nice, any way to do this properly?

Thanks in advance.

Change the "EG Time" to release instead of gate, then adjust time accordingly.

Ok thanks for that, I always thought, it was the decay you would hear much longer, but now actually paying attention to it. The sound faded away= releae

What Im also unsure of, which particulair setting, you want for release, decay, what ever its called in the manual)
And which one to use for gate.

Probably a nooby question, but I want my drums in gate, right? My bass general release/decay. Or is just all general preference.
