Kaoss Pro Editor not working on Mac? Not found?
Hey,
I am new to the forum and have searched for the same issues, there seems to be lots on PC for a similar issue but not Mac. Anyway I have just bought my first Korg product which is a Kaossilator Pro. Anyhow the unit seems to work fine and I am getting the hang of it however It will not connect to the editor software.
I have used the latest drivers, installed and reinstalled and still nothing. The software says that it cant find the Korg etc. I have checked my USB port via system info and it shows the Korg is plugged in, also I have gone through the editor PDF and set all the Korgs settings on the unit to the correct options but still have had no luck. Even a factory reset and re-install of the lower version drivers did not work?
I am at a loss.
My PC is a Intel Mac i7 Laptop - 16 gig ram. Latest Mac OSX 10.10.4....
Anyone have any ideas, as I really need to use the feature for dropping in my loops for live gigs. I dont really want to have to record each one in via a line in to a bank.. Oh I can see the memory card on the desktop when I set the unit to USB etc, but it just seems to be the dam editor that is not working.

Update - Still no fix for mac and now PC issue.
Well I have not heard back from Korg as their customer service is utterly useless and from the lack of responses here I can assume most people are not having any trouble with Mac like I am. However I just tried to use it on PC and I have exactly the same problem.
Whats the deal with this device? I love it, love the sounds but it has issues with Mac and PC and I just found out it does not allow a midi keyboard note data to control the unit? I run a full-time pro studio and I cant imagine why they would not add this feature.
Anyway, regardless I still love the units sounds and they will come in handy in the studio and for live work but if anyone has any suggestions on how to remedy these small issues I would love some help...
Please, pretty please???

If not working on both pc/mac, maybe the us plugging procedure is done wrong or kaoss usb is defect?
---
Maybe install first the drivers/editor and before or after then (re/un)plugging the kaos usb? pc/mac should signal a replugged device, REBOOTING the pc/mac After install etc.

I kind of need it to work on Mac as thats what we use in the studio, I just have a PC at home so thought it might work there and it didnt.bradkorg wrote:Did you try search, there're topics about:

This is exactly the same problem I am having.
I am running Mavericks and have the latest firmware, editor software, and korg usb-midi drivers installed.
I connect the Kaossilator to the macbook via USB without engaging USB mode on the unit, and the it will connect just fine to the korg driver and be visible in OSX's midi devices.
If I turn on USB Mode I can access the SD Card and read and write files to it.
But if I try to connect the editor software - either with OR without the usb mode engaged - then I only get an error saying the Kaossilator is not connected.
This is incredibly frustrating. I picked the device up used just recently, and one of the functions that I was looking for the most was the ability to load wave files from SD into the unit so I could use it as a looper for audio I have created elsewhere.
I also cannot seem to successfully get the unit to load wave files from the card. They are the correct format - 16bit pcm files. Named properly. Just won't show up when I try to scroll through the files on the card. If I save a file recorded on the Kaossilator itself, then try to load it, it will load fine.
The be quite honest, I'm pretty disgusted with how archaic the system Korg has created to interface this powerful unit with the digital world. And now that I'm reading posts about poor customer support when problems like this happen... makes me just want to return the unit, and shy away from Korg in the future.
