Hi everyone,
I have a strange problem. I created a song in about 2008 and I havent touched my Korg Triton Extreme since then. And in this song I used a Pre-Set drum pattern but when I have gone back to it now I cannot find this pattern anywhere from the pre-set drum patterns on Korg Triton Extreme.
I saved the song to my memory card and when I load it again on the main display window below the stop watch/counter feature it says:
S002: Pop/Ballade
Could this be a user Template I created? And what does the "S002" indicate? Does this give me a clue where I can find the drum pattern?
I am not sure if this gives anyone a clue but I would love to work on this song using the same drum pattern and this is why I need to find out what it is so I can work on the song.
I also just had another thought. The pre-set drum pattern I used is quite short and only a few bars. Is there anyway I can lengthen it from the saved file? So that the pre-set drum pattern plays for a longer time so I can create a full song?
Any advice about how I can find this drum pattern would be gratefully received.
Many thanks.
How to find a Pre-Set drum pattern I used from Korg Triton

S002 is not, afaik, part of the drum patterns available on the triton series at all. Those are part of the arpeggio patterns and there is no associated letter prefix, just a ### reference.
P=preset, U=user; those prefixes are reserved for preset and user kits - not patterns.
S=song or sequence and would perhaps indicate a drum sequence or recorded pattern that you might be able to play over or perhaps which was part of a song backing track.
I can't think of another korg for which the s-prefix applies unless it is perhaps one of the I-series that has style types (not triton feature).

Thanks very much Bill for your reply.
I managed to sort it out by looking at an official Korg Youtube instruction video. Once you select the initial pre-set drum pattern the next window changes what options you have and you can then select the variations on each Pre-set style for example Pop/Ballad. Then you simply have to add the amount of measures you want the pre-set pattern to play for which of course corresponds to the length of your song.
One thing I am still struggling with though is setting my Korg Triton Extreme to sync with Logic Pro X so that when I hit the record button on Logic Pro X the track I have recorded on my Korg Triton Extreme automatically plays is therefore recorded.
Have you got any idea how to do this?
Many thanks.
