This has probably been explained elsewhere. In that case, please point me to a thread where I can find answers. I couldn't find one.
Disclaimer: yes, I am RTFM... It's been a week now, and I am still confused. Yes, I am probably dumb.
So... have mercy.
I just purchased a pa3x- 61 (no hard disk), and it is my first arranger, ever. Not my first synth (to say the least) and not my first Korg keyboard. But not even the M3's file management was so complex.
I find the file management and memory management a tad confusing.
What I need to do is the following:
I bought from Korg germany the TK "turkish sounds" USB expansion, which contains a "set" and works as a "dongle".
I loaded the whole set (it includes styles etc and it almost fills the sample ram).
Now, I would like to load FURTHER styles and sounds (no samples involved),
i.e. the "lamios_arabic_turkish" set [40 styles ("User1"), 12 sounds (User 1 and user2) and 64 drum kits. No samples]
I am under the impression (from reading the rather confusing user guide) that by loading the whole set I risk erasing the previously loaded "TK" set.
Is that so?
Am I wrong?
Should I load each single style as a separate file?
Can I?
Would that erase the recently loaded styles as well?
Can I choose the location where I load the new style(s)?
What about the sounds and drumkits?
Will "dependencies" (sounds and rumkits used by a style) be loaded once I load a style?
