Hi guys.....I purchased a pink Floyd pack from Leadsounds (info@leadsounds .com )...it has the shine on set up, and it sounds perfect to me....They have just released a new floyd anthology, which is a bit pricey.. but if you look for previous packs you should find it.....Just a word of warning......When you install the files on sd card,it does affect the onboard combis and you need to un install the files to get the krome back to normal,so to speak.

Hope this is useful :D

With PCG Tools you can combine both PCG files more easily.

Pink Floyd pack

Post by CherryPistolKeys »

I also purchased the Pink Floyd pack for the Krome. While the Krome doesn't do everything in the video shown using an M50, provided on YouTube, it provides a good start on which to program your own versions of these sounds. I play in a Floyd tribute, and having the Krome, these sounds, and time for additional programming for other songs, I've now reduced my key rig from four keyboards down to two.

Here is a link to a video of our most recent show (a Halloween show with a "Dark Side of Oz" theme where we did DSOTM synced up with the classic movie). We did "Echoes" as an encore, using sounds from the collection. I did create a new split combo for the end (a soft organ from another module in the upper keys, to go with the Leslie piano on the left).

Glad I spotted this, despite not being a Krome user. :)

I was just about to migrate my old rig that I used in Pure Floyd a few years back to a rig containing just my Roland FC300 foot controller, Yamaha EX5 and (shiny new) Kronos, which would have entailed a fair bit of programming of the Kronos to replace the other elements in the old rig (mainly Motif Rack ES with PLG150-AN, Nord G2 Engine and Laptop running NI B4II and samples). I was impressed with the quality of the Anthology demos, so went for it. Will be playing about with it tomorrow.....

G'day. I play in a Floyd tribute, and use a Krome for the Shine On pad in the intro.

I created my combi by using the Analogue Strings sound, doubling it an octave higher, then adding one of the Organs very quietly underneath. From memory I think it was F007 Drawbars. My Krome is packed away for a gig at the moment so I can't check.

Then I reduced the attack on the Organ sound to match it with the strings and remove the percussive element.

The boys in the band love it. Hope this helps!

If you need more power on the low end of the patch, you can throw on a mono drone bass sound (triangle wave, maybe, filter/chorus as desired). Set it to activate on the lowest note played, and hit that root note first when changing chords.

Great job, really enjoyed your sounds there. Noisy crowd!

I see this is an old post but I made a combi split, with the strings and organ with leslie control with the joystick for the left hand and a brassy/string lead on the right, similar to the version on Pulse live. If anyone is interested I will post it.
