Midi range on ES2/E2?

Post by Buska »

Anyone know the midi range of the midi out? Are they 8 octaves?

The sequencer range would sugest 10, if I'm understanding you.

This makes me remember another post where someone said this is 2 less than the EMX-1, which would be interesting, since 10 should cover the audible human range. Did this mean that the any of the EMX-1's oscillators could go sub bass?

The reason I ask is I would like to trigger the SP303 but the pads are hard wired to certain notes, bank j or whatever it is is in the 8th octave. I already have some sequencers that are unable to trigger that bank

I know bugger all about the SP-303, I dont even know much about samplers/sampling but it sounds like your issue is with the range of the SP-303. If a machine is capable of playing MIDI notes 0-127, that should correspond to C -1 through G 09 (10+ octaves).
