How to edit 'On the Run' and Sweet Dreams presets

Post by UKSimon »

Just got my Kronos 2 and going through the presets and found as an example of the ones listed above.

How do you edit the notes on these to play the correct ones as they're not quite right. Are they karma generated or arpeggiator driven. Any help on where to change would be welcome. I know what the notes should be but can't find where they are.

Cheers

On the Run is done with the Common Step Sequencer.

Below are the changes to the step sequences need to get the sequences to play properly. Very important, pay close attention to the step number (left) as I only included those requiring change. Also, Sweet Dreams uses all three sequences, EX1, EX2 and Common. You need to only change EX1. BTW, on Sweet Dream, SW#1 triggers the second half of the sequence. Kyrie uses EX1 step seq. I did this rather quickly. Let me know if anything doesn't sound quite right. Obviously, save the program once you're finished editing.

These are default programs on the Kronos. The sequences needing to be updated are contained within the programs.

The programs and default locations are as follows:

Love on Train (F3) - A087
Sirius (C2) - A092
New Song (C2) - A0112
The Metro (B1->E2) - A0119
On The Run (B2) - A0120
Sweet Dreams (C3) - A0121
Save A Prayer (D3) - A0122
Kyrie - A058

Hi TunaMan,

Thanks, but still having trouble locating these; do I first click the “Program” and then the numbers noted?

Thanks

In Program mode, use the search function to find the programs. If not using a Kronos 2, e.g. using an earlier Kronos version together with the New KRONOS Sound Pack, which includes KRS-07 Sound Pack 3.0, purchased from the Korg shop, then the location of the Programs will be different e.g. Save a Prayer (D3) might be in location U-DD122. Earlier versions of Kronos won't have these Programs, unless the New KRONOS Sound Pack has been installed.

Sorry - just saw this. Aren’t they included with the OS update? I’ll have to check I suppose, but I thought they were.

Although it uses KARMA instead of a step sequence, another program that would be nice to have corrected to play properly could be 'Here Comes the Rain Again', in case anyone would know. It is located here:

Rain Again I-A127 on KRONOS2
or
Rain Again U-AA127 in the New KRONOS Sound Pack.
