I used to have separate volume and foot pedal jacks on my M50. I also adapted a damper pedal as a big pad switch mounted over my main surface, a Wavestation, mounted to the right of the screen, with a dual side tape with velcro. That way, I could easily, and effortlessly switch my combi up in the middle of the song. Since my main sound source is on my left side, is not very convenient to reach for the program up/down keys in a hurry. Being the microstation so small, is even harder to do.
Now, the question: Can I use a device like an Akai MPD16 MIDI pad controller to assign a couple pads to program up/down messages?

Any other ideas how can I achieve this?
Thanks
