Chrome click track

Post by harryr1964 »

Just bought a Krome recently, and am very disappointed to find, too much after the sale, that there doesn't seem to be a way to route a click track to a drummer, since there are no extra outputs on the back as there were with my old o1W and Triton. Does anyone know a workaround for this so I could take advantage of the combis and arpeggiators with a live band?

Thanks,

Harry

My guess would be to set all sounds and effects to the Left Output, and routing the click to the Right Output.

You actually don't need to send the clicks from your Krome.

Your drummer can provide his own click, just line up the BPM to be the same as the Krome.

I know that sounds amazingly unsophisticated, but trust me it works.

There is a built in option for this in sequencer mode.

Rovito, what option for this in the sequencer? I could not find it, please show us.

I was in the same boat, I used to have the Korg Karma and yes there's a built in option from the sequencer for routing the click track to other outputs beside the main outputs. This feature is no longer available on the Krome because there's no extra outputs.

Thanks.

My Krome is buried until the weekend but as I recall you had the option of having the click go out the right channel only. Left as mono synth. I have not gone too deep into the sequencer so it must be on one of the main pages. There may also be a YouTube video with this option.
