PA600 keybed vs Triton Le keybed

Post by stratquebec »

Hi!

I would have to drive 100 miles to try a PA600 so ... I need to ask for the more info possible from you guys here before buying a PA600 online !

I have a Triton Le and I find its keybed , say, rather toy"ish". Not that bad but not so good either. Also, the Triton key's length is 5 -3/4 length which is about 1/4 an inche shorter than on a real keyboard.

Can someome tell me if
-the PA600 keybed is similar in feel to the Triton Le?
-are the key's length on the PA600 shorter than on a normal keyboard?

Thanks a lot!

Cheers!

Hi,
if you think that the Triton LE claviatur is toy"ish" you´ll be shocked of the PA600 plastic toy"ish" claviature. I think it´s more worse than the one from the triton.

If you want a better one choose PA2X or PA3X (yes the price is much higher but worth every cent). I think (not 100% sure the 4X will have not the same claviature as 2x and 3x - means - worse and more plastic feeling).

so far from my side - hope that helps

Oh boy man, tha'ts no good news :(
But thanks for your help!

I'm talking about the Triton Le 61. Really? The PA600 keybed is that bad?

Well, what can I say? I'm glad I asked before I cliked on buy now!

Oh, and how'is the PA3X Le keybed vs the PA3x? Better, equal, worse?

Korg changed their keyboards from Fatar (which is a very good company) and produced own claviatures - that´s all i need to say.

The latest Fatar is in the PA3X - all others 600, 900, 3LE and so on have the Korg own produced and on my mind very bad claviature inside.

Fatar, for sure do great keybeds indeed. Strange choice from Korg :cheaper keybed but still expansive keyboards...

And you'd probably tell me that!s the same with the Kronos?

The 73 and 88 key Version seems to have a very good one, but be Aware of the weight if you´ve to Transport them !!!

•88er-Modell: RH3 („Real Weighted Hammer Action 3“)
•73er-Modell: RH3 („Real Weighted Hammer Action 3“)
•61er-Modell: light weighted

•88er-Modell: 23,0kg
•73er-Modell: 20,3kg
•61er-Modell: 12,5kg

Hope that helps

It sure helps wittid!
I realise that for the purpose of portability, we would somtimes appreciate a lighter synth. And maybe arranger users who gig a lot appreciate that also.

A semi-weighted keyboard might be a good compromise then.

Personnaly, I don't gig and a Kronos is out of reach at the moment. Maybe I should then consider a PA900? According to some reviews I read on the net, its keybed is semi-weighted and seems very playable, and it has the afertouch feature which is a plus for me. Also I have a (very heavy) 88 notes Kurzweil SP2x I can use as a controller. It has an excellent keybed that almost feel as the real thing.
