Electribe 2 + Genome app = great workaround for sequencing

Hi all,

I dont know if this has been posted before, but I stumbled upon the amazing combo of the e2+genome midi sequencer app and wanted to share it. I just bought the electribe 2 a few days ago and was testing out some syncing capabilities and accidentally made the discovery while trying to do something totally different!

The electribe 2 goes straight into the ipad's camera connection kit via the mini usb cable.

Genome 2 can sequence 16 midi channels, which perfectly matches the 16 pads/parts of the E2, you dont have to map anything! When you switch on the app just set the midi device to the electribe from menu and voila! 16 tracks waiting for you to make as many bars and patterns you want!

You can use the piano roll or use the pads on the electribe to record, you can even record automation via the knobs, no mapping needed!

This might not be anything amazing for those who have it hooked up to a daw, but just an ipad mini + electribe make a super compact setup that you can take anywhere, and you can even export the midi to your daw to work on later, its like genome fixes most of the E2's sequencing complaints. And i dont know any other synth that can be so easily integrated with an ipad app, really surprising not much more has been said about it.

Yep, this is a pretty good combo.
Also works with Pro MIDI app. Has an Ableton live style MIDI clip launcher with 16 channels and automation (similar to Genome but a slightly different approach).
