I have one of these to protect my Kronos from external damage...

The guy who runs Orchid really knows his stuff (25 years experience) so it might be worth phoning him up to discuss whether it would reduce your risk profile. He can make a custom set of cables too so that you have a completely consistent set of matching parts.

...why say more?
Maybe your microphone input is set to mic,volume set to max, and the input line is connected to stereo out.. try to turn down the volume of the input on the back of ur kronos.
