Actually - that happened - to my OASYS88. I attended a 3 day film scoring course three years ago by none other than Hollywood composer Chris Young - and the organisation running it (Screen Training Ireland) needed the loan of a master keyboard, in exchange for free attendance to the course. I offered my OASYS 88 thinking that'd be pretty cool - I could for ever more say Chris Young played my OASYS.

What was the first exercise Chris Young gave to the class:

- Come up with a rhythmic exercise - but - to treat the keyboard as a rhythmic instrument.


I nearly died. One of the students was a percussionist with the Irish Army!


For the next 30 - 40 minutes, he chose about 6-7 of the class to come up with their 'piece' and perform it - on my OASYS. I had people literally fisting the keybed (no joking), slapping the side and top cover - you name it - they did it. I was down the back, in shock.


The result - not one scratch on it. Not one iota of a problem with the keybed action (I spent hours after the course inspecting each key one by one for unevenness) and to date, it has not shown any hint of an adverse reaction to the pounding it got.


I've been mightily impressed by the ruggedness of the OASYS keybed ever since - in fact I own two OASYS88's and both still work really well (touch wood) after nearly 10 years.


But the fisting of keys - been there - done that !

No, just keyboard velocity, nothing fancy.

Korg doesn't seem to understand how to support midi over USB on a PC running windows 10.

Their drivers are useless and dysfunctional.

When windows updates or anything on your system changes, the microkey will no longer function.

Installing the latest driver from Korg does not help anything.

Deleting devices for midi 0-9 on windows 10 using the uninstall feature of the Korg driver does not work.

It is useless. I am using DrvTools_1_15_r20e.exe

Contacting Korg support provides no help at all.

My Korg Microkey 37 which I relied on heavily is now a paperweight/door stop because Korg doesn't support Windows 10 on a PC and doesn't seem to care about making any support for Windows users a priority.

Every one of your posts is aimed at Korg drivers not working... Why do hundreds, if not thousands, of people have no problem with Korg drivers under Windows 10 - I've not had a single issue with Korg drivers.

After all that pounding, military-banging, fingering, and fisting it doesn't sound like Mr. Young care to help give the OASYS a proper reacharound.

From what I gather, a computer has a limit to how many drivers it can store for midi devices. Sometimes a computer confuses itself and duplicates these drivers, if you follow my meaning. It's one of those scary registry errors. This might not be the solution to your problem, but it was for me. My computer refused to talk to my nanoPad until I deleted some redundant registry entries.
