KROSS Bonus Sounds opinions needed

Post by captain54 »

Just purchased and KROSS and got the BONUS banks installed, but in a quandary about how to install 4 banks. or the best of 4 banks into a user slot that only holds 1 bank..

does anyone find any one particular bank more or less useful? are there banks that basically have the same KROSS programs?

here's my review..

Triton Bank.. all of these sounds seem kind of dated to me, there might be a few vintage gems.. I feel for the most part there's plenty in the KROSS already that can rival these..
Instrument Bank.. 40 Bell Programs? serves no purpose to me.. the guitar additions are a great supplement to the KROSS guitars
Synth Bank..almost 1/2 of these are basses, and the rest aren't' any better than what's in the KROSS
Keyboard Bank.. I would have to say this is my favorite.. I like the piano/strings, some different EP"s, the accordion and Farfisa emulations…

for the life of my I cannot figure out how to save individual patches off of each bank. .bummer

you can - save the bank(s) to an SD card which you've formatted in the Kross. Then insert the card back in the Kross, and navigate to the Banks (.PCG's) - you can right-arrow into the file structure, and when you click on a patch it gets loaded, then you can save it.

make a list of existing "unfavorite" patch locations that you're willing to overwrite first.

Dont forget to join the Korg Kross Share group in Facebook. There are more sounds developed by Kross users to download, and of course you can share your own.
