PA4X - LOG GENUINE SUSPECTED PROBLEMS HERE PLEASE...

Does anyone noticed that every time when you change reverb on mfx 1 and save (user) style, when load again that style value of the that fx rise a little - maybe 10% more-less!!
This is a bug that peaple at KORG must fix.
And when will we hope to get some support, update atc. for Pa4x from Korg?

... A useful feature that I find on PA4X, is to MUTE on MIDI player ... so can not mute the track 4 of the midi file each time and then save it, it is a waste of time infinite ....

Some great information here but PLEASE remember to keep the posts related to issues/problems/concerns about the PA4X where the PA4X does NOT conform to its specifications and its manual

..otherwise these posts are not necessarily bugs or problems with the keyboard.

If you want to make any comments, express concerns and opinions about things you consider missing or removed or changed (or even maybe things you like!!) please post in another relevant existing topic or create an new one.

Mp3 board is buggy...

1st there is an mp3 board bug because my previous post about hard drive sleep. When I want to record mp3 on hard drive mp3 record can not start because hard drive is not spinning and here goes a problem

Second... No matter where I save my recordings with mp3 board , when I play that mp3 file on PC/MAC players shows enormous long time of the mp3 file,but file is only a few mb and a few minutes... For example 15 minutes of recording my players on computer shows that that file has 38minutes and 40 seconds length.... I have to mention that this recordings and time readings are correct when I play that file in SONG play mode on keyboard... But something is definitely wrong with that mp3 files recorded with internal mp3 board.

They should really pay you guys for ALPHA (not even beta) testing of their "something"/prototype than on the end, once YOU guys find/fix all bugs for them - give you like 50% off finished product.

I could work @ Korg as alpha/beta tester I'm good with finding bugs and malfunctioning

Instead I have paid for my Pa4x and sending to them reports - for free At least I expect from them to fix this bugs... I have already done that with Pa3x...Story goes on with the new flagship :\

You should already be able to do this:

1. Go to Song Play mode.
2. Mute the track(s) you want to always be muted.
3. Go to the Global > Mode Preferences > Song page, and touch the Save Track & FX button.

2.No individual Songbook entry delete option (only initialize Songbook option - wipes whole Songbook )

You should be able to this.
1. Go to SongBook > Book Edit 1.
2. Touch the Del Song button.

3.Can not write current style/kbd set/voice preset in Songbook (Book Edit 1 - Write current ) if other style is selected for that song. It can be only saved as new song

This is by design, to protect existing entries. When choosing a different Style, you are creating a new song.

4. Voice preset lock option is missing.

We replaced the lock with the Global Voice Preset. You use the Global checkbox in the Mic pane to switch between the global and local (that is, included in the Keyboard Set or SongBook Entry) Voice Preset.

5.Found compatibility issues -pa3x styles to pa4- some parameters pa4x did not loaded exactly as they were in pa3x ( Mixer - master fx values for some styles)
6. Compatibility issues with converting Pa3x performances to Pa4x keyboard set - some parameters did not load exactly as they were on pa3x (Master FX values in Mixer menu)

This is explained in the User Manual (File Management part). Effects are different, and there is not always a perfect match between Pa3X and Pa4X.

Hi Filipe,

Currently in this release ( maybe a Alpha or Beta ) it's impossible to use transpose, because they return to 0 after changing a sound without STS.

Are you sure there aren't some locks closed? Please check in the Global > General Controls > Lock > Tuning page.

Can you please explain me how to resolve this in lack of Songbook editor software:

I have need for this:

because of re-saving Songbook entries with a style from a different location, I want to keep existing STS entries (keyboard set now) with that Songbook entry - which can not be loaded because is linked with empty style location.

Songbook editor for Pa4x is necessary and I hope that will be on dowload as soon as possible.

And Paolo,what about HDD sleep issue that I wrote in this thread and delay (silence) between changing keyboard sets?
