In response to some "newer" technologies; I'd love to see this sound : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1DvXBO ... u.be&t=477

it is from Ymaha reface dx and should be possible to do with the mod7 - for someone who knows to do that ;)

thanks in advance
best regards

All I would like is to have a TRITON program (K061 "Octave Brass Expression") exported to my KRONOS.

There are many brass sounds in KRONOS, but none is close to that "octave brass expression" :(

motion synth & pads

Post by Carsten72 »

I would like some patches that are sounding like the typical pads and motion synths from faithless (VSynth GT)

+1 for the Steve Wilson - Home Invasion/ Regret #9 Lead (6:42)

I know it's on your "to do list",

Anyone can help with that lead?

Thanks

This is the thread that wouldn't die haha.

Well, I'm in the middle of selling my house and focusing on two bands that I'm in, but I'll be making sounds here and there so I'll see if I can take some time at some point to update the complete list and start poking away at some of these sounds again.

I'd definitely like to get back into programming, it's just been incredibly hectic lately but keep the requests coming in and I'll try to start getting around to them again. :)

Hi Enigmahack!
You kindly sorted out the Portamento at the begining out Keith Emerson's
Hoedown, sometime back...Any chance of you deciphering the synth sounds at around 3:07 and 3:14?
Its a bit cheeky of me to get in so early but I suspect your list will grow very quickly.

Adventure of a Lifetime - Coldplay

Another song I have to figure out by 4/30 for a sub gig.

The sound is in the main repeated riff, which starts with guitar, but I have to think the last part of it is keys (based on the fact that you hear it separately later without the guitar).

In case you don't know what sound I'm talking about, if the repeated riff is:

da da da da da da da da da wing da bing, it's the wing da bing part.

Anyone else have this request?
Bass and keyboard player, not usually at the same time, but sometimes in the same song!

As luck would have it, I noodled around with this riff too and ended up creating a SEQ file using RPPR. (I used a SEQ file because most of what I do is stored in that mode :)

I've never shared a SEQ file so I hope this works for you. Here's how to trigger the repeating phrases:

Phrase one: key A5 for two bars. That's the first riff.
Phrase two: key G5 for one bar. That's the second riff.

I use two tracks, one to simulate the "flute." I use USERC003: Airy Shakuhachi on track one since there are some bends in the riff. MIDI track two is USERCC052: Elec Guitar + Tubeman to simulate the guitar which seems to be just a pentatonic riff with no flourishes or bends. That's why I separated the tracks in RPPR.

The guitar part is sent to IFXs: Tube Preamp Modeling, Stereo/Cross Delay and Guitar Amp Model + Cabinet for a little bite.

Let me know if this even works for as a downloaded file.

I had some limited success working with some of the canned sounds out of the Kronos and playing the whole riff with fingers only.

I've not played with the band yet, so I don't know tempo they play it, therefore I'm thinking a sequence would not be the best solution (clearly, an elegant solution, though!).

Thanks for the suggestion about the Shakuhachi, that's the part that still doesn't sound close. I got the guitar part close enough with another patch, can't remember its name at the moment, but I'll post it when I get it right.

on a separate note, I'm really glad I got this sub gig on 4/30, I've spent some quality time with my Kronos this past weekend, and it's kicking my butt some, but it's all good, stuff I need to learn how to do (not just play the freaking thing).

My request: the signature minimoogisch flutish sound from gimmi gimmi ABBA.
Tried several things, but could not get close enough
